The highest Level of precision

All of our sheath thermocouples are manufactured according to DIN EN 60584. However, demanding applications of temperature measurement or generation as well as complex heating solutions require in special cases special attention. No problem! We will gladly give our mineral insulated sheath thermocouples, heating cables, and heating applications the necessary final touch:

X-RAY

X-ray is a non-destructive and highly precise method of investigating and checking the quality and tightness of a material. The imaging techniques can be used to determine errors in implemented sheath thermocouples or heating conductors. It however also serves, for example, to determine the exact measuring point, so that the sheath thermocouple can be precisely fitted. Upon request, we will supply you with our thermocouples with X-ray images including measurements and labeling.

HeliumLeak Test

The helium leak test applies particularly for the use of components, which are used for an application or production process that takes place in a vacuum or ultra-high vacuum (UHV). In order to avoid the loss of pressure in the application, we test the welding and fittings in advance on our sheath thermocouples for heating applications. Where desired, we can also supply vacuum-compatible products, including a test report, which are directly functional at the site of implementation.

Calibration of sheath Thermocouples

When it comes down to the precision of measurement, we calibrate our mineral insulated sheath thermocouples according to the fixed point or comparison method. In this way they can be exactly determined to be within the norms of deviation. In particular, when multiple measurement points are present in applications, it can be important to know the precise deviation of the individual thermocouple.  Accordingly we offer you a manufacturer’s calibration, and also the DAkkS calibration.
