MINERAL INSULATED HEATING CABLES, TWIN CORE
Twin core mineral insulated sheath cabling, made up of two live inner wires (filaments) which are insulated against one another and the metal sheath with magnesium oxide as insulator. In particular, the diameter and the composition of the inner wires influence the resistance of the cabling and therefore the heating power of the heat conductor. A high quality sheath material decides the maximum usage temperature and resistance under particular surrounding conditions. Twin-core heat conductors are often used at low voltages. In the case of large diameters, it is also possible to operate with 230V.
