Mineral insulated heat conductors with seamless cold ends

Mineral insulated heating elements with seamless cold ends are one of the most significant developments in the heat conductor segment. They are made up of two cold ends, which cross over to a heating part seamlessly. The hot/cold crossover cannot be seen from outside of the heat conductor and the sheath because the outer diameter remains the same along its length.

 

Depending on the customer-specific heating solution, the temperature development in the cold ends is significantly lower than in the heating part. Mineral insulated heating elements with seamless cold leads can be e.g. coiled and assembled exactly like mineral insulated heat conductor material. On the basis of its constant outer diameter, they are particularly suited for heating solutions with low panel thicknesses, as well as narrow radiuses (2-3x outer diameter).

 

The high temperature resistance of up to 1000°C and their physical and chemical qualities allow for use in a variety of industrial heat applications. The seamless cold ends allow a direct connection using litz wires or ceramic power connectors.
